Hallmark drops out of University

Production has been suspended on Canadian producer Muse Entertainment's drama series University (13×60'), following a broadcast licence cancellation by The Hallmark Network US.

Muse had wrapped just four of 13 episodes on the C$12m (US$7.8m) series when Hallmark pulled out of the project last week.

Muse director of communications Betty Palik says that they are working to find alternate financing to continue shooting, and that although Hallmark still holds international distribution on the series, {the rights could be made available{.

University centres on the personal and academic lives of a group of students and their eccentric professor. It is scripted by Bruce M Smith (The Sleep Room) and stars Canadian actor RH Thomson in the role of the professor.
